Project Overview
Sd Creative were thrilled when approached by one of Britain's largest University's; Birmingham City University (BCU) to creatively manage, design and produce various communication materials. We were presented with an almost impossible time scale for the requirements, which involved working around the clock to make the deadline set!
The project consisted of the design of various promotional materials for the BCU School of Jewellery's graduating year of 2008. The design of a postcard book containing a postcard for each student, as well as a concertina designed flyer for each subject area.
The postcard books required the postcards to be easily taken out when opened, but were required to stay together effectively when not being looked at. We designed a bespoke outer cover which was gloss laminated, rather than bind the books we opted for keeping the postcards loose - Die cut semi circles in each book allowed for the books to be kept together with an elastic band, whilst adding an additional design feature to the appearance of the books. The overall finished products made for very attractive finished product. |
